Clairefontaine Pastelmat Pads
Clairefontaine Pastelmat Pads are a new concept for the Pastel market! The pastel adheres so well to this new paper that you don’t need to use a fixative between each layer. You are able to multiply the layers without a saturation effect. Pastelmat brings new opportunities for pastel artists, offering a coarser surface than velour, but a softer surface than sand paper. This premium card surface is specially developed for the pastel artist. Its unique velvety surface is made from a fine coating of cellulose fibres and has the ability to grab and hold multiple layers of even the softest pastels. It also has the added bonus of being gentle on both fingers and blending tools. You are able to apply multiply layers without a saturation effect which significantly reduces the need for fixative, allowing the colours to remain vibrant and bright.

Each pad contains 12 sheets of 360gsm premium card specially developed for pastellists.

- No.1 – 3 sheets of each: Maize, Buttercup, Light Grey, Dark Grey
- No.2 – 3 sheets of each: White, Sienna, Brown, Anthracite
- No.3 – 12 sheets of White
- No.4 – 3 sheets of each: Dark Blue, Light Blue, Burgundy, Sand
- No.5 – 3 sheets of each: Dark Green, Light Green, Dark Blue, White
- No.6 – 12 sheets of Anthracite
- No.7 – 3 sheets of each: Beige, Sand, Sanguine, Charcoal grey
